Accounting 1 – Foundation of Accounting


Accounting 1 is the first course in the Accounting Certification at Bouyela Education Corporation. This course introduces learners to the fundamental principles of accounting and provides a strong foundation for understanding financial operations in businesses and organizations.


In this course, students will:

  • Learn the basics of double-entry bookkeeping and the accounting cycle.

  • Understand assets, liabilities, and equity, and how transactions affect financial statements.

  • Gain skills in recording, summarizing, and reporting financial information.

  • Explore the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Develop accuracy and attention to detail essential for financial reporting.


📍 Delivery & Assessment:

  • Hybrid format: Attend in-person at one of our campuses or participate remotely.

  • In-person assessment and evaluation conducted at the campus.


Duration & Schedule Options:

  • Part-time: 9 weeks, 1 session per week- $400

  • Accelerated: 5 weeks, 2 sessions per week- $800

Accounting 1  introduces learners to the fundamental theoretical concepts of accounting in a structured and progressive manner. Through realistic case studies, interactive examples, and practical tools, the course enables students to develop a rigorous approach to accounting practices. Emphasis is placed on the Québec and Canadian economic environments to ensure relevance and applicability.
