Principles of Microeconomics


Principles of Microeconomics is a foundational course within the Economic Certification at Bouyela Education Corporation. This course introduces students to the behavior of individuals, households, and firms in the marketplace, providing the essential tools to analyze and understand economic decision-making at a micro level.

In this course, students will:

  • Understand the basic principles of supply and demand and market equilibrium.

  • Explore consumer behavior, production, and costs in different market structures.

  • Analyze price determination, elasticity, and market efficiency.

  • Examine the role of government intervention in correcting market failures.

  • Develop analytical and problem-solving skills to apply microeconomic concepts to real-world scenarios.

  • Economic Research Assistant – support data collection and analysis for market studies.

  • Financial/Business Analyst Support – assist in evaluating business performance using economic principles.

  • Curriculum Support Assistant – help develop educational materials for economics courses.

  • Administrative Support in Finance or Economic Departments – provide operational assistance while applying microeconomic insights.

Duration & Schedule Options:

  • Part-time: 9 weeks, 1 session per week – $400

  • Full-time (accelerated): 5 weeks, 2 sessions per week – $800

  • Applicants may be required to complete preparatory courses in math or English if additional support is needed
