Foundations of Financial Management


Foundations of Financial Management is a core course within the Finance Certification at Bouyela Education Corporation. This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of financial principles, equipping them with the skills to analyze, plan, and manage financial resources effectively for both personal and business applications.

In this course, students will:

  • Gain a solid understanding of financial statements, cash flow management, and financial ratios to support decision-making.

  • Learn the essentials of budgeting, financial planning, and capital allocation.

  • Explore investment evaluation, risk assessment, and the time value of money.

  • Develop practical skills in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting.

📌 Prerequisites / Recommended Prior Courses:

  • Accounting 1 – Foundation of Accounting (required)

  • Accounting 2 – Intermediate Accounting (recommended)

  • Basic Finance or Financial Literacy (recommended)

These prerequisites ensure students have a strong foundation in financial record-keeping and basic financial concepts before tackling advanced financial management topics.

Duration & Schedule Options:

  • Part-time: 9 weeks, 1 session per week – $400

  • Full-time (accelerated): 5 weeks, 2 sessions per week – $800

  • High school, college, and university students

  • Students who have completed the recommended accounting or finance prerequisites
