Recent Developments in Business Law 


Recent Developments in Business Law is an advanced course within the Law Certification at Bouyela Education Corporation. This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to analyze, interpret, and apply contemporary legal trends and rulings in business law, preparing them to stay current in a dynamic legal environment.

In this course, students will:

  • Examine intergenerational business transfers and taxation strategies supporting entrepreneurs.

  • Explore ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors and their impact on directors’ legal duties.

  • Analyze standard clauses in commercial contracts, their rationale, and practical effects.

  • Discuss women in business law, including opportunities, challenges, and legal solutions.

  • Investigate corporate transparency and ultimate beneficiary issues, and current regulatory practices.

  • Review the “top ten” significant or interesting corporate law decisions from 2022–2023.

  • Apply recent legal developments to real-world business and corporate scenarios.


📌 Prerequisites / Recommended Prior Knowledge:

  • Completion of Business Law (Droit des affaires) or equivalent foundational law course

  • Understanding of basic corporate and commercial law principles


📌 Possible Entry-Level Positions Within Bouyela Education Corporation After Completion:

  • Legal Analyst / Legal Assistant – support application of recent legal developments in contracts and corporate governance

  • Compliance Support – assist in updating policies and ensuring organizational adherence to new regulations

  • Corporate Law Assistant – support corporate transactions, transparency, and governance documentation

  • Administrative Legal Support – maintain records and research summaries on recent legal trends

Duration & Schedule Options:

  • Part-time: 9 weeks, 1 session per week – $400

  • Full-time (accelerated): 5 weeks, 2 sessions per week – $800
