Corporate Law – Corporations Act 


Corporate Law – Corporations Act is an advanced course within the Law Certification at Bouyela Education Corporation. This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal principles and rules governing corporations, including their creation, governance, financing, and dispute resolution, both judicial and non-judicial.

In this course, students will:

  • Analyze the Quebec Business Corporations Act alongside the Canada Business Corporations Act, understanding similarities, differences, and practical applications.

  • Examine corporate creation, legal personality, governance structures, financing mechanisms, and the resolution of internal and external disputes.

  • Explore the purpose of corporate regulation, emphasizing efficiency, flexibility, and security in corporate operations.

  • Gain an interdisciplinary perspective, integrating economic analysis of law into corporate legal principles.

  • Study comparative law insights, highlighting influences from common law, British law, and U.S. law on Canadian and Quebec corporate legislation.

  • Apply corporate law principles to real-world business scenarios, including governance, compliance, and dispute management.


📌 Prerequisites / Recommended Prior Knowledge:

  • Completion of Business Law (Droit des affaires) or Recent Developments in Business Law (Développements récents en droit des affaires)

  • Basic understanding of corporate structures and legal principles

Duration & Schedule Options:

  • Part-time: 9 weeks, 1 session per week – $400

  • Full-time (accelerated): 5 weeks, 2 sessions per week – $800
