Introduction to Business Law 


Introduction to Business Law is an essential course within the Law Certification at Bouyela Education Corporation. Designed for students and legal professionals seeking a comprehensive overview, this course introduces the fundamental principles, structures, and practices of business law in Quebec and Canada.

In this course, students will:

  • Explore the sources, concepts, and methods of business law, including the Canadian legal system and the Quebec Civil Code.

  • Understand the role of corporate counsel and governance mechanisms for regulated entities.

  • Examine enterprise risk management, economic analysis of law, and corporate social responsibility.

  • Study business structures, corporate governance, and financing, including partnerships, corporations, and financial market regulations.

  • Learn about real securities, insolvency, bankruptcy, and corporate criminal liability.

  • Analyze national and international commercial transactions, including competition law, logistics contracts, maritime transport contracts, cyberspace contracts, arbitration, and inter-state commercial dispute resolution.

  • Apply legal principles to practical business and international trade scenarios, ensuring compliance and effective decision-making.


📌 Prerequisites / Recommended Prior Knowledge:

  • None required; this course serves as a foundation for all subsequent law certification courses

  • Basic understanding of business or organizational operations is helpful but not mandatory

Duration & Schedule Options:

  • Part-time: 9 weeks, 1 session per week – $400

  • Full-time (accelerated): 5 weeks, 2 sessions per week – $800
